Tech Supplies Service near Paddington, on a 4060 60W Laser Machine – Paddington School
The visit to our customer Paddington Academy was requested as the machine was due it’s annual service on their Technology Supplies 4060 60 watt flatbed laser marker. Which we recommend to all of our customers to keep their machine in tip top condition and avoiding any unnecessary downtime. This service was conducted by our highly experienced service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The laser service visit includes: –

Upon arrival at Paddington Academy the laser machines were visually inspected. On the laser service visit it was found that there was a short in the wiring loom supplying the red pointer and the auto focus pen, at the time the customer stated that they weren’t really using the features so it was left. Since that time the customer has requested that the wiring loom be replaced and the features reinstated.
The engineer replaced the wiring loom and tested the connections and functionality of the red pointer and the auto focus pen, by running some of the customer jobs. All was working as expected.
Now that this repair had been completed the laser service could be carried out, the machine was given a visual inspection and was found to be in generally good condition. The below service items were carried out with no issues: –
- Mirror Inspection & Clean
- Lens Inspection & Clean
- Inspect, Clean and Lubricate all Linear/Guide Rails
- Honey Comb Bed Inspection & Bed Leveling
- Electronics Inspection
- Safety Interlocks Inspection & Test
- Water Cooling Chiller Inspection, Clean, Drain & Refill
- Full Laser Alignment Check – Slight Adjustment required
- Laser Tube Health Check
The beam alignment was checked and was adjust slightly. After completing the laser service, the laser power was measured at the exit aperture of the nozzle. The laser power was shown to measure 82.2w @22mA @ 87% power.
Some of Paddington Academy‘s jobs were run on the machine as a final test and the customer was happy with the outcome. The filters on their Bofa unit were checked and there were replaced in February 2026 and were found to be working perfectly.
