A visit to a long term customer, Carrs of Sheffield was required as the customer had requested their annual service, which we would recommend for all our customers. The laser service was conducted by our highly experience service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The laser service visit included: –

Upon arrival at Carrs of Sheffield the machine was visually inspected. The machine was in good condition. The service items that were carried out: –
- Clean All Mirrors and Main Focusing Lens
- Water Cooling Chiller Inspection, Clean, Drain & Refill
- Inspect, Clean and Lubricate all Linear/Guide Rails
- Auto Focus Pen Inspection & Clean
- Inspect and Hoovered out the laser chamber and bed area
- Inspect, Drain and Refill Chiller cooling circuit
- Electronics Inspection
- Check Bed Level
- Check the field scale calibration of both X and Y axes. The X calibration was altered slightly.
- Safety Interlocks Inspection & Test
- Check overall machine function by Test Cutting Customer Materials
The laser power was measured through the nozzle and was reading a power of 62.55w @ 22mA 82%.
