Laser Service near Luton, Thinklaser 6090 80 watts – Stockwood Park Academy
A visit to a customer, Stockwood Park Academy was required as the customer had requested their annual laser service on their laser machine, which we would recommend for all our customers. The laser service was conducted by our highly experienced service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The service visit included: –
Thinklaser Lightblade 6090 80 watt
Upon arrival at Stockwood Park Academy the flatbed machine was visually inspected. The machine was in good condition. The room where the machine was located was very warm. The chiller unit was running at 26 degrees when started.
The chiller water was drained and replaced.
The extraction fan’s pipework which had been piped through a wall had fallen out. This was secured to the wall by the service engineer.
All mirrors and lens were then inspected and cleaned. The lens had some minor scratches on the surface of the lens, but this was not effecting the marking or cutting quality of the system, so was not replaced.

The following remaining item of the service were carried out with no issues: –
- Nozzle Inspection & Clean
- Inspect, Clean and Lubricate all Linear/Guide Rails
- Calibrate Bed Level
- Auto Focus Pen Inspection & Clean
- Electronics Inspection
- Safety Interlocks Inspection & Test
The beam realignment was checked and was pretty accurate. The only adjustment that was needed was a small adjustment on the third mirror to ensure that the beam was central to the nozzle aperture.
As a final check the laser power was measured. The laser powered was measured to be 90.5w @25mA 88%. The service of the laser machine was now completed and the customer files were tested on the machine. The customer was happy with the service.
