Laser Service near Hammersmith, on a Technology Supplies 4060 60W – Hammersmith Academy
The visit to our customer Hammersmith Academy was requested by our customer as their annual laser service on their Tech Supplies 4060 60 watt flatbed laser machine was due, which we would recommend for all our customers. This service was conducted by our highly experienced service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The laser service visit includes: –

Upon arrival at Hammersmith Academy the flatbed machine was visually inspected. As per last visit there was a significant amount of debris present in and around the work area and on the bed. During the laser visit the laser tube was down slightly in power, so it was recommended that the laser tube might need to be replaced at this service visit. When arranging this service the customer agreed that it was about the right time to install a new laser tube.
So the existing laser tube was removed, the attached chiller was drained, flushed and cleaned before refilling with distilled water. The new SPT C65 60 watt Laser tube was installed and aligned. During the alignment all mirrors were checked and cleaned. Mirror 3 was found to be heavily contaminated and was not able to be cleaned. So this required a replacement. The main focusing lens was also contaminated and was unable to be cleaned, so was also replaced.

- Laser Tube Health Check
Following the repairs and the maintenance being completed the laser tube power was tested at the exit aperture of the nozzle and was shown to be 77.6 watts @20mA @ 72% power.
The customers BOFA Nano plus was displaying some error lights and there was a noticeable odour of acrylic coming from the exhaust. These symptons were pointing to the active carbon in the combined main filter was depleted. The customer commented that the filters order had already been placed and they were awaiting their arrival.
