Laser Machine Upgrade and Install near Christchurch, on a Lightblade 1290 – Highcliffe School
A visit to our customer, Highcliffe School was spread over 2 days, the first day was for upgrading their existing HPC LaserScript 6040 machines Leetro Controller using LaserCut 5.3 Software to a Ruida 6442 using the more user friendly Lightburn Software. The second day was to install and train the staff on their new Lightblade 6090 machine. The Upgrade and installation was conducted by our service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’.
HPC LaserScript 6040 60 watt – Upgrade
The customer was wanting to update their current HPC machine to use LightBurn software, however their current Leetro Controller was unable to accommodate the software. So an update of the controller and HMI was necessary. The old controller and HMI was removed and the new Ruida 6442 with HMI was installed in it’s place. The controller was setup with all the parameters required for the old laser. Including the calibration for the X-Y rails to ensure correct scaling factors are installed.
As part of the upgrade, a new 60 watt SPT laser tube was installed, aligned and power tested at the nozzle to be 66w @ 75% power. LightBurn was installed on their PC and the operators were trained on the new controller and the new software. Several jobs were run by the operators to help with their understanding.
