Laser Machine Service near Wandsworth, Technology Supplies 4060 60 watts – South Thames College
A visit to a customer, South Thames College was required as the customer had requested their annual service on their laser machine, which we would recommend for all our customers. The laser service was conducted by our highly experienced service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The service visit included: –

Upon arrival at South Thames College the flatbed machine was visually inspected. The machine was in good condition.
The service of the machine was then started. The machine was hoovered and cleaned inside and out. The laser power was measured from the nozzle aperture and was shown to be 51.2w @22mA 85%. The mirrors were inspected and the first and second mirror were dirty. After the cleaning of these lens and a marginal realignment of the laser beam. The output power was now shown to be 59.9w @22mA 85%.
After the realignment it was noted that the laser beam was not going in parallel down the nozzle. To correct this issue the laser tube was lowered parallel within it’s two mounts and then the third mirror realigned to ensure that the beam was in parallel to the Z-axis.
The following remaining item of the service were carried out with no issues: –
- Nozzle Inspection & Clean
- Water Cooling Chiller Inspection, Clean, Drain & Refill
- Inspect, Clean and Lubricate all Linear/Guide Rails
- Calibrate Bed Level
- Auto Focus Pen Inspection & Clean
- Electronics Inspection
- Safety Interlocks Inspection & Test
The service of the laser machine was now completed and the customer files were tested on the machine. The customer was happy with the service.
