Laser Machine Service near Oxted, Thinklaser Lightblade’s 3040 60 watts – Hazelwood School
A visit to our customer, Hazelwood School was requested by our partner RS Design and Technology as the customer requested to have their Lightblade 3040 machines annual service. The laser service was conducted by our highly experienced laser service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The laser service included: –
Thinklaser Lightblade 3040 60 watt
Upon arrival at Hazelwood School the flatbed machine was visually inspected. The machine was heavily contaminated with residue on the internal chassis working area.
The school had a BOFA AD Nano extraction unit and considering the residue on the metal bed, it was assumed that these would require changing, but due to the correct extractor being specified with the machine the filters were still in good order.
The laser service was started with the following checks-
- Cleaned all mirrors and main focusing lens
- Cleaned and inspected Autofocus pen and Laser Nozzle
- Inspect, Clean and Lubricate all Linear/Guide Rails
- Inspect, Clean and tension belts
- Checked and cleaned laser tube
- Drained, flushed and refilled chiller with distilled water
- Removed metal slates and cleaned slates and bed underneath
- Calibrate Bed Level – Front right side was low by 1mm
- Inspected Interlocks and Chiller Alarms
- Inspected and checked electrics, sensors and switches
- Safety Interlocks Inspection & Test
After the completion of the laser service, the laser power was measured at the exit aperture of the laser nozzle. The laser power was shown to be reading 67.8w @22mA 75%
