Laser Machine Service near Coventry, Thinklaser 1325 250 watt – Coventry University
A visit to a customer, Coventry University was required as the customer had requested their annual service on their laser machine, which we would recommend for all our customers. The laser service was conducted by our highly experienced service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The service visit included: –

Upon arrival at Coventry University the flatbed machine was visually inspected. The machine was generally in good condition. It was noted that on the main door the hinges had become loose and that the main door gas struts were not holding the door open. The hinges were tightened and thread lock applied. The gas struts were replaced for new.
Whilst discussing the machine with the customer they did mention that sometimes the cutting was sometimes very poor, producing obvious double lines etc. All mirrors were inspected and were all clean. Upon inspection of Mirror 2, it was noted that the mirror was loose in it’s holder, this was re-tightened and would have been the major contributor to the issues seen by the customer.
The beam realignment was checked and was pretty accurate. The only adjustment that was needed was a small adjustment on the third mirror to ensure that the beam was central to the nozzle aperture.
The following remaining item of the service were carried out with minor issues: –
- Nozzle Inspection & Clean
- Water Cooling Chiller Inspection, Clean, Drain & Refill
- Inspect, Clean and Lubricate all Linear/Guide Rails
- Calibrate Bed Level – Slightly low on right side
- Auto Focus Pen Inspection & Clean
- Electronics Inspection
- Safety Interlocks Inspection & Test
The service of the laser machine was now completed and the customer files were tested on the machine. The customer was happy with the laser service.
