Laser Machine Repair near Plumstead – OMTech Max750 80W – Hobbyist
The visit to our customer who lives in Plumstead, was requesting a repair of his OMTech Max 750 80 watt flatbed laser marker. The reported issue with the laser machine was that the laser was not powering on. This repair was conducted by our highly experience service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’.

Upon arrival at the hobbyists home their flatbed machine was visually inspected. The machine was in generally a good condition, the customer had reported that the unit would not power on at all.
As with most electrical items, the engineer initially turned off the mains power to check to see if there was any issue with the electrical items within the machine which would be causing an issue. Nothing could be seen and so the mains power was switched on. Using a standard Digital Volt Meter, the engineer now followed the mains power into the machine to see at what component or components were causing the issue.
However with OMtech machines, there doesn’t seem to be any sort of electrical safety for either the componentry or the individual. The engineer found that the mains power was making it to the power on switch, but that the switch was not working properly. This was replaced and the machine was then back to a normal power on cycle.
The customer ran a number of test jobs on the machine, and was happy with the repair.
