Laser Machine Repair near Kensington, laser not firing on a 6090 60 watt HPC LaserScript Machine – Cardinal Vaughan School
A visit to our customer, Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School was required as the customer was reporting a fault with their laser machine. The fault reported was their ‘laserscript laser not firing’, this can be caused by several reasons. The repair was conducted by our service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The laser repair visit included: –
Upon arrival at the customers site, the machine was visually inspected. The machine had been fitted with a new Ruida 6442 controller, since our last service visit. However whomever had installed it, did not fix the unit to the machine as it was loose. The service engineer added screws to the controller to fix it in place.
The engineer then continued to investigate the ‘Laser not Firing; issue with the machine. The first check that the engineer would carry out is whether or not the laser PSU is working as expected. Upon inspection of the laser PSU it was found that there was a wiring short within the PSU connector. This was corrected and then the system was tested. The laser would now fire and therefore no further investigation was needed.
The system was then checked for proper alignment and it required adjustment. The beam was aligned and the laser power was checked from the Nozzle and was measured to be 60.2w @ 80%.

Several jobs were run on the machine to check it’s overall function.. and Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School was happy with the results.
