GCC Laser Service near Croydon, Mercury III 40 watts – Trinity School
A visit to a new customer, Trinity School. The customer had requested a service visit on their GCC Mercury III laser machine. The laser service was conducted by our highly experienced service engineer ‘Gavin Edwards’. The laser service visit included: –

Upon arrival at the Trinity School the flatbed machine was visually inspected. The machine was in generally good condition.
The mirrors and main focusing lens were inspected. The mirrors were cleaned, but the focusing lens was badly contaminated. However this was able to be cleaned. Before reinstating into the nozzle assembly the nozzle assembly was also cleaned.


The remaining items of a service were carried out with no issues: –
- Inspect, Clean and Lubricate all Linear/Guide Rails
- Deep Clean of system
- Honey Comb Bed Inspection & Bed Leveling off by 1mm in the right corner
- Electronics Inspection
- Fan Filters cleaned
- Inspected Laser Source, Cleaned Fans & Laser
- Safety Interlocks Inspection & Test
- Full Laser Alignment Check
- Laser Tube Health Check

The customer was not using the Auto Focus pen, as they had had a number of broken units in the past few years and therefore didn’t wish to use the Auto Focus feature.
The beam alignment was tested and adjusted slightly. The laser power was measured at the exit aperture of the laser nozzle and was shown to be measuring 49.4w @100%. The customer was happy with the service provided.
