Laser marking galvanised steel – The application was for Scentlogix
This product is a galvanised steel cage, that will contain various materials used in the training of canines. The product required laser marking with the company logo. In this case, we found that the high powered Nd:YAG pulsed laser gave the best results in terms of contrast on the galvanised surface. Although the laser marking took place on a curved surface, the size of mark stayed within the theoretical boundary of marking on a circumference. This ensured the per unit cost was kept to acceptable levels.
